Binance is taking a bold step toward making crypto trading more transparent and engaging. Through its social network platform, Binance Square, the exchange has launched a new feature called Trader Profiles.

According to a release shared with Coinspeaker, this new addition lets traders share their portfolios, performance metrics, and styles. The goal is to help users connect with others with similar interests and ensure real data back trading insights.

Trader Profiles give a simple view of a trader’s activity, helping followers understand their investment style. Users who share their profiles can show how they divide their assets without exposing exact amounts.

Performance data shows percentage gains or losses over different periods, helping followers see how a trader performs. Binance has also introduced Trader Badges to highlight different activity-based trading styles.

Binance ensured this new feature was private, only visible to a trader’s followers and not the entire public. That way, the trader can choose and control what to share. Traders can also create an image of their profile to post on Binance Square.

This is to help them build credibility and share their insights with others. In a statement, Binance Co-Founder Yi He highlighted the importance of this new feature. She explained that this feature is to help create a more open and informed trading community.

Yi He tested the new app by sharing her portfolio, which is 89% invested in Binance Coin BNB $669.6 24h volatility: 4.0% Market cap: $97.75 B Vol. 24h: $1.01 B . This demo shows how users can verify trading insights based on real data.

She said this new app is part of the exchange’s goal to help users stay connected and informed. It also lets them make smart choices while keeping their data private and within a safe control.

As the biggest exchange in the world by volume, Binance has always maintained the lead in product innovation. For instance, the firm kicked off the Proof-of-Reserve (PoR) trend following the collapse of the FTX Derivatives Exchange. The firm’s goal remains to maintain transparency within its ecosystem.

Binance’s introduction of Trader Profiles follows a growing trend in the crypto industry. Many other platforms have added similar features to build trust and connect users. Phemex Exchange, which suffered a cyberattack recently, offers a copy trading feature.

This lets users follow and copy the strategies of successful traders. It also provides detailed performance data and options to match different risk levels.

Similarly, Iconomi, a social trading platform, allows users to follow and replicate the trading strategies of experienced investors. This was geared to promote learning and transparency in trading activities.

Coinspeaker also reported on several social trading platforms that aim to enhance user engagement and transparency in the trading community. These include B2Broker’s copy trading platform, GoCopyTrade, and Dtrade by Decoin Exchange, amongst others.
